Updates, updates.

Wow, I don't know what to think about this new layout. It's refreshing, but it's a pain in the ass trying to figure out where everything is at now. D:

FELLOW ARTISTS. I am curious about markers. I've seen what they're capable of and I've heard a lot of really good things about working with them, but I don't know much about them. Those of you who use markers -- what kind do you like the most and why? How do the inks interact when you blend them? Do they work well on sketchbook paper? Anything anyone can tell me about working with markers would be helpful. I don't know diddly doo about them but I'd like to eventually buy some and learn to use them.

Anyway. Updates!

MY TABLET BROKE! ;_;!! Yes, I had to say goodbye to my trusty Wacom, which was only three years old. I'm using my sister's small one at the moment (omg, does anyone know how torturous it is to try and use a tiny tablet when you're used to a huge one?!) and it's getting me by, but I really need to get a new one. I've been eyeballing a Wacom Intuos3 -- I've got one at work and it's damn nice -- but they're so 'spensive.

Art stuff. I'm working on a trade piece for Wolfie right now, which is looking like it will take forever and a day. The idea is awesome though, and I hope it turns out as lovely in the end as I envision it now. Also, I've got some artsy things I want to send to Rei but I'm so lazy that I'll probably be seventy years old before I get them in the mail, hah.

ALSO! My character Strychnine is getting a complete overhaul. Well, not 'complete', really, but she's getting some serious spiffing-up. She's not doing much for me as a fursona anymore so something must be done about that. I'll be posting arts of her when I've finally made up my mind.

Hmm, that is all for right now. I could add more, but...blah. That whole lazy thing, you know.

Yup, it's back.

Yes! Just when you all thought you had rid yourselves of me, I have returned in full force (somewhat like a bad fungus).

I've gone through my gallery and deleted a lot of old stuff out of there. Gads, did my art suck back in the day. It was both nostalgic and nauseating at the same time. I've got quite a bit of newer stuff to upload though, so keep your eyes peeled, folks!

It Lives!

I may be making a comeback on here soon.

Yes, I did leave. I got so tired of the drama, so tired of seeing fellow friends and artists bickering and/or being attacked over the silliest, stupidest bullshit, that I just couldn't take it anymore. There is a point at which it all stops being fun, and when I finally realized it had gone past that point, I decided it was time to go.

However! Nothing is forever, of course. Hopefully you can all expect to see me start posting a few things here and there again in the near future. Since I design graphic artwork professionally as a job, I don't have as much time as I used to for doing my own artwork. But I still do it, and I'll try to post some of it here every now and then. :)

For all of my friends on here...I've missed you guys. <3

Ahoy!

I just got Adobe Photoshop CS2 9! WOOOO! I'm all happy and stuff now. I had actually heard fairly bad things about it, read a lot of less-than-awesome reviews, so I wasn't planning on buying it. But one of my coworkers has it, and burned a copy of it for me, and so I figured I'd try it since it was free. And...I really haven't yet figured out why people have been talking so much smack about it. I actually like it.

Of course, this inspires me to do more art, lmao. I need to start thinking of some ideas to do.

I also got Maya 5 from this particular coworker. For those that don't know, Maya is the 3D animation program that was used to make movies like Shrek, Monsters Inc., Shark Tale, and other animated movies. I'm pretty stoked to check that out, too. ^^

Not much else has been going on. I have...no life here, lol. I'm considering buying a new car right now, not really by choice, but....because I -should-. The warranty on my truck expires in December, and I've always had problems here and there with it, and I'm not particularly enthused about having to pay to have problems fixed. That shit is expensive. I love my truck, it's frickin' NICE--I've probably put nearly $5000 worth of extras into it, so I'm not all that happy with the idea of replacing it. But...yeah. *sighs*

Unfortunately, I think my art might go on a temporary hold for a while. I just got hired at a new job down here where I recently moved, and will be starting tomorrow. I'll probably be very busy, and have little time to devote to art. I'm not quitting, just taking a break.

This new job I got is very similar to what I did back in Kodiak. It's a print/sign/design shop, and I'll be doing a little bit of everything there. I'm really excited, but at the same time not really looking forward to it. Starting new jobs always makes me nervous, I guess. Not to mention, I don't run the shop here as I did back in Kodiak, so I have to get used to being the one who takes orders, not the one who gives them. Heh heh.
